Dress
Business Dress is appropriate for all functions.  For the Arabian Nights Desert Safari & Dinner, casual dress recommended. The Gala Dinner is formal.

A note on Dress:

Dubai is a unique blend of cultures and in the resulting cosmopolitan mix all nationalities are made to feel welcome.

The local culture, heritage and Islamic beliefs are deeply rooted with the people of Dubai and are a mainstay of Dubai. Since moderation and simplicity are the salient features of Islam, in Dubai every effort is made to achieve social harmony and respect.

It is advisable for the visitors to adopt a modest dress code when visiting public places.

Shorts, mini skirts/mini dresses and skimpy clothing in general should be avoided in public places such as shopping malls, restaurants or around the city. In changing rooms or hotel facilities, it is not considered appropriate for guests to walk around without proper clothing.

At the pool or on the beaches, trunks, swim-suits and bikinis are quite acceptable.

Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo- chromatic lenses for those who wear spectacles. Hats or some protection for the head are advisable when in direct sunlight.

Note: In the Social Program for the Spouses on Tuesday & Wednesday

TOUR OF JUMEIRAH MOSQUE and VISIT AND LUNCH AT A SHEIKHA FARM

(Spouse Activity)

* Out of respect for the local culture, conservative dress for ladies is essential; loose slacks or long skirts, long sleeves, and a head scarf .
