IISRP ELECTS PRESIDENT INTERNATIONAL FOR 2023 – 2024

Mr. Kazuyoshi Matsuura, Director and Managing Executive Officer of Zeon Elastomers and Chemical Business, was elected President International of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) for the year 2023 – 2024 at the association’s 63rd Annual General Meeting on May 18, 2023. He succeeds Mr. Robert Rikhoff of Lion Elastomers, who becomes the Institute's Past-President International.

Mr. Matsuura has extensive experience in the polymer industry, where he has held different positions in sales, strategic and marketing areas, and top-management positions.

Mr. Matsuura joined Zeon in 1993. In 2013 was appointed General Manager of Sales and Marketing of Electronic Materials. In 2014 he was named General Manager of Sales of the Synthetic Rubber Division. In 2017 he held the position of Corporate Officer Division Manager of the Synthetic Rubber Business, and in 2019 he held the position of Director and Corporate Officer Administrative HQ, Division Manager of Human Resources, General Manager of Human Resources, and General Manager of Chinese Business Administration. Last year he was appointed Director and Managing Executive Officer of Elastomers and Chemical Business HQ

In addition to Mr. Rikhoff, who is now the Past-President International and President of the Americas Section, and Mr. Matsuura, who will also serve as President of the Asia Pacific Section, the other members elected to the Institute Executive Committee for the year 2023 – 2024 are:

• Mr. Kevin Liu of TSRC Corporation – Vice-President of the Asia Pacific Section and member of the FPAC.
• Mr. Matteo Marchisio of Synthos – President of the EMEA Section
• Mr. Giovanni Cassuti of Versalis - EMEA Section Vice-President and FPAC Member
• Mr. Brian Chapman of Kuraray Americas – Member of the FPAC
• Mr. Mark Plante of TSRC Specialty Materials LLC – Vice-President of the Americas Section.
• Mr. Juan Ramon Salinas of IISRP – Managing Director, Assistant Treasurer, and Recording Secretary.
